The state engineering centre of " MSTU "STANKIN" carries out its activities with the financial support of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation within the framework of the implementation of the action plan ("road map") in the field of engineering and industrial design and the Federal Target Program "Research and development in priority areas of scientific and technological complex of Russia for 2014-2020»
Elena Kataeva, the rector of STANKIN, took part in the Russian delegation and spoke at the Round table "Interaction between scientific and educational organizations".
The forum, organized by the leadership of the Arab Republic with the active participation of Russia, lasted for two days. The Conference is attended by representatives of international organizations of the United Nations and the Red cross, as well as diplomats from almost two dozen countries. The Russian delegation, which includes experts from more than 30 ministries and departments, is headed by the President's special representative for the Syrian settlement, Alexander Lavrentiev.
Elena Kataeva, the rector of STANKIN, spoke at a Round table "Interaction between scientific and educational organizations". Elena Georgievna noted that a new stage in the development of STANKIN's relations with universities in the Syrian Arab Republic began in 2018 when the University took part in the Russian exposition of the 60th Damascus international fair, which was held for the first time after a long break related to the tragic events on Syrian soil.
MSTU STANKIN became the first and only Russian University to present its potential in Syria in terms of advanced research, technological audit and full-scale engineering, assistance in developing programs and projects for the restoration and technical re-equipment of the country's enterprises, as well as in the interests of organizing and developing Russian-Syrian inter-University cooperation.
"We are confident that the road along which Russia and Syria are moving forward, and first of all, the path of development of science and education of new generations, we will overcome everything regardless of any difficulties.
