Moscow State Technological University "STANKIN" trains personnel for professional implementation abroad in the areas of strategic interests of Russian mechanical engineering.
The Network Preparatory Faculty for foreign citizens united the Pushkin State Institute of the Russian Language, Moscow State Technological University "STANKIN" , Tomsk Polytechnic University, Voronezh State University and Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University.
"Back in the 50s of the XX century, "STANKIN" began teaching the first foreign students. The preparatory department of MSTU "STANKIN" is still an example of a unique school for preparing foreign citizens for higher technical education in Russia. The network preparatory faculty created within the framework of the Consortium will allow foreign students to immerse themselves in the richness of Russian culture without leaving the computer. The best specialists in this field are doing everything to make the great language of Pushkin, Tolstoy and Chekhov even closer to young people around the world who want to get a Russian education," said Vladimir Serebrenny, Acting Rector of Moscow State Technological University "STANKIN".
As part of the working group, specialized specialists of "STANKIN" developed methodological materials on mathematics, physics, computer science and economics for training at the network preparatory faculty. The author's methods were created jointly with the teachers of the Tomsk Polytechnic University. Today, these developments are implemented in the structure of educational modules and are used for independent classes of students of engineering, technical and technological specialties.
The creator of several training modules for foreign students who want to get a Russian education in technological areas was T. V. Vasilyeva, head of the Department of Foreign Languages, PhD, professor, author and member of the author's teams of more than 30 textbooks on the language of the specialty.
For more than 20 years, scientific research has been conducted on the basis of the Russian language Department of "STANKIN", which provides a high level of preparation of foreign citizens for studying in Russian engineering universities.
The results of the work of scientists and teachers of the university formed the basis for the formation of the "STANKIN" linguodidactic scientific school, which is now recognized by the leading linguists and specialized specialists of the country.
